Saving the Best for LAST...

Saving the Best for Last!...

In reading the text out of John 2:1-11 we have all heard the story of Jesus turning into Wine.. One of the greatest and most well known miracles that was ever told. We hear of Jesus helping out and making the "best" wine, to the point that the best was saved for last rather than giving the good stuff first and the cheap or not so good stuff last... When they ran out Jesus turned the water to wine and the host stated that that was the best that they had...

Where this story is different, is that mostly it is told as that the best was saved until Last... and that is not the case... If you were to re-read the scripture in John 2:10, you see it was quoted as saving the best for "NOW"...

I truly don't believe that we have to wait till "last" or the end to receive good things, blessings and the plan that God has in store for each of us... But I honestly believe that if we are diligent in serving Him and in seeking Him, that His plan is for NOW for us not for later... Think about it... Proverbs 27 tell us not to get to wrapped up in tomorrow because we are not promised Tomorrow we "don't know what a day may bring forth".

I truly believe that God wants to bless you, and give you the desires of your heart...
Many times its not us waiting on God as much as it is God waiting on us.....

Saving the Best for NOW, not till Last...

John 2:1-11 New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Changes Water Into Wine

On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.”

“Woman,[a] why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”

His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.[b]

Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled them to the brim.

Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”

They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”

Proverbs 27 King James Version (KJV)

27 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
